Renowned for its extraordinary wetlands and rich cultural traditions, Kakadu National Park has received two World Heritage listings. The national park covers an area of approximately 20,000 square kilometres, and is the second largest national park in the world. Kakadu is home to an incredibly diverse range of flora and fauna, with more than 1,000 plant species, a quarter of Australia’s freshwater fish species and more than a third of its birds, making it ideal for bird watching. Kakadu’s impressive sandstone escarpments such as Nourlangie Rock and Ubirr feature some of the finest and most accessible Aboriginal rock art

in the world, dating back thousands of years. Visit the magnificent Jim Jim and Twin Falls and cruise the famous Yellow Water Wetlands to spot saltwater crocodiles.
Further east from Kakadu is the mysterious and ancient terrain of Arnhem Land, one of the very few truly unexplored areas of Australia. The natural beauty and cultural importance of areas such as Mt Borradaile as well as the Cobourg and Gove Peninsulas, make venturing into Arnhem Land an unforgettable experience.
