Just under an hour’s drive from Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is famous for its wine, fresh local produce and beautiful scenery of green valleys and vineyards. Over 55 wineries can be found in the Yarra Valley, most of which offer cellar door tastings and sales.
Visit the region’s iconic wineries including De Bortoli, Fergusson, Yering Station and Domaine Chandon, where you can enjoy wine by the glass accompanied by delicious regional food. Yarra Valley is also home to many wonderful boutique wineries including Coldstream Hills, one of Australia's leading small wineries.
To sample some of the region’s best local produce, follow the Yarra Valley Regional Food Trail. This self drive tour features stops at 100 signposted outlets including orchards, farm gates, roadside stalls, local cafés and restaurants. Stock up on fresh produce at the Yarra Valley Regional Farmers’ Market held on the third Sunday of each month at Yering Station. For a different view of the Yarra Valley, take to the skies in a hot air balloon before gently descending into a vineyard to enjoy a breakfast of local produce and sparkling wine. |
